Question
Hi Ken, I got my 2 months old fawn great Dane a couple of days ago... She wasn't eating at first but eventually got better.. She also got a bit of diarrhea but I'm taking care of that with some medicine the vet prescribed.. The problem is... I'm worried that she's got something wrong with her because she sleeps ALL THE TIME, and sometimes i feel like her bag legs are very weak.. Sometimes when i call her, she doesn't stand up but instead drags herself towards me as if she were in the army.. Is it because her arms and legs are so long that its hard for her to walk or is she week...?? The breeder told me to that he keeps her so thin so that she grows well.. but i find her skinny..
Please help me!

Answer
She should not be skinny, puppies should be rolly-poly without being overweight.  She should sleep about 20 hours a day.  If her back legs don't get stronger within a day or two of proper feeding you should see the vet to find our what is wrong with her.
