Question
I've read where glucosamine can be given to my Goldens, but not how much. What dosage should I use?
I have two Goldens, one was a gift and one was rescued from off the street. They're 14 years old and around 4 yrs old.

Thank you!

Answer
Many chows already have glucosamine in them.  If the 4 year old is already getting it in its chow, I wouldn't add more.  I am giving my 14 year old Lab 750 mg a day, the smallest tablets we can find at the drug store.  She also gets Metacam, a pain killer from the vet.  You might find this interesting, http://www.arthritis.org/arthritis-dogs-2.php
