QuestionHi there, I recently adopted a female Goldie who will be 2 yrs old at the end of January 2009. She has already had a litter of puppies (not a papered female). Is under 2 years old too young to breed? Her coat is not quite there...thin, dry, fuzzy, bare...Will this come back? We now have her on a puppy/junior food (not the bulk Costco stuff she was on...although I'm not sure if that was good or not?!). We have her scheduled for the vet to be spayed in a couple of weeks. Is there more that we can be doing for this puppy who had puppies?
AnswerHi Sheri - How nice of you to have adopted this adult gal.
They will start breeding at 15 months or older.... She may have been a WHOOPS? who knows?
I have some suggestions for this gal. HOW about looking for this food in the local pet store: Barking AT the MOON by Solid Gold.
I would like you to mix that with the Puppy food you are currently using. This food ( Solid Gold ) is excellent and will bring health back to her system and coat.
Next, Please go here and order some Skin and Coat supplements/ This will help her entire system and will protect her hips, legs and joints from Arthritis. So many Goldens and Labs take this product each day....

She will just need 1 wafer per day - Most dogs love it and YUM YUM it right up! Others, need to have it mixed into the food. For the fussy dog they even make a Powder form of the supplement.
Make sure you write down my Name and Order code: YOU need a referral to be able to buy from the manufacturer...Not sold in stores:
Marie Peppers ( Pet pro code - 81098)
I am here for you - I would love to help you with your feeding choices. Let me know if you can't find the Solid Gold Brand?
I can suggest some other brand, if needed.
