pooping

Question
no matter how much time we spend walking my dog will not poop.  if we go to the dog park or to somebody's home who has a pet that poops in the yard he has no trouble pooping. how can I get him to poop on walks or in my yard?

Hi Maryann- I understand !  Let's add some fiber to this kids diet and some supplements...May help to get him on a morning poop schedule.

First off - get some metamucil plain powder from the supermarket. Give him 1 teaspoon in the am food ( mix into the food) and 1 teaspoon in the pm food .... Also, try to feed before 6 pm.

Make sure he is getting a quality dry kibble ( Innova, Wellness, Solid gold or Natural Balance)-
Please add some wet canned food to his diet - 1/2 cup per day of a quality holistic canned brand of wet food.

also, start him on some supplements - great for his digestive system and also helps to avoid arthritis and joint problems, too.

We can try the above - also, we could add some Salmon oil to his food each day - about 1 tablespoon per day / Pure salmon oil works wonders!!
