Question
Hello,

We just recevied a six week old Pit Bull. It is a beautiful animal and the family are very much in love with her. We have named her Sudani. Now here is the problem,we think she was removed from her mother too early.  I don't how or what to feed her.  We have used a baby's bottle using whole milk but she is not taking it.  Can you give us some advice with this concern?  How shall we care for her and give the best at this early age. Looking to hear from you soon.

                   Sincerely,
                     abu

Answer
Stop the milk immediately. Get a bag of Purina Puppy Chow. If you can, put about 1/2 cup PPC and 1 cup hot water in a blender and make a "soup" for her. You'll need to do this at least 4 times a day right now and give her all she'll eat in about 5 minutes. You may need to stick her nose in it a time or two but she'll catch on. That's enough for a feeding. NO MILK.

Make sure she has access to nice fresh water. If you can get your hands on some Esbilac, you can put maybe 1/4 cup in a feeding to get her started. It's puppy formula and you should be able to find it at any Pet Store. If you can only find it in dry form, put in about a tsp. per feeding.

NO MILK!  Good luck to you.

P.S. I love her name.
