ABD Puppy attacks Bichon all the time

Question
My significant other and I got a American Bulldog puppy from a breeder in Pa.She is 10 weeks old. She is very outgoing puppy not afraid of most things that puppies are afraid of, and very willing to learn. We also have a very, very spoiled Bichon (my girlfriend would let her do anything she wants and she has NEVER been trained). She is 3 and I just house trained her in the last 6 months. They are both free to roam the kitchen while we are at work. . I realize that at this point she is "learning the pack order" however she CONSTANTLY attacks the bichon and the bichon just lets her pull her around by her fur. I also have a neighbor who has a 4yo male APBT. She attacks him as well. I her parents were not very "stranger friendly" but got along with their own pack. My question is how can I protect the Bichon without damaging my ABD baby? My girl is very stressed out that the puppy will kill her dog.

Answer
Hi Leon - I understand your concern.  You will need to separate them when no one is available to supervise.  YOUR big puppy will hurt the Bichon because she doesn't know her strength.  Also, you new baby needs to learn and must be supervised.
This is a good book you can get from Amazon
The Human pack -  low cost and very helpful.

I have worked with this trainer...She has lot's of help in this nice little book.

You can also hire someone to start giving you some training and behavior pointers -
You would need a few home visits on YOUR turf...

BEST wishes
