New Family Member

Jannie, We just had to bury our 17 month old baby. She was a white boxer on the small side. She was the favorite of everybody in the house. I would get excited just pulling into the driveway and waiting on her to come bouncing to see me. I would get more excited than the kids(i'm the mom). Some in the house still can not talk about her or when we do it is so emotional.  She was hilarious.  She slept with me and my husband or sometimes with our son.  She liked to be held when she was going to sleep. She was with us constantly. She would come in and out while you were in the bath teasing you, take your socks from you while you where trying to put them on and hide them, I could go on and on. She did like to sleep alot which was a good thing. She was a very agreeable puppy.  If we were up and doing she was right with us, if we were watching tv or some other quite activity she would lay by us and go to sleep.  
I have heard that the white boxer is somewhat different from the other colored boxers. We are wanting another boxer but I am wondering do we need to look at another white to get these some characteristics or does her description sound like most boxers? She was our first boxer and we are in love with this breed. Also, how long do you suggest we wait to get another? I want one now and my son wants to wait. Sorry it is such a long question. thank you for any help you can give.

No, white Boxers personalities and characteristics are no different that a fawn or brindle Boxer. Boxers are Boxers, the clown of the breed.

All Boxers love sleeping with their families. They are happy to see a family member come home and bounce around and waggle their butts in shear bliss to see you and love you.

They are the best dog on earth and all Boxers are that way, but each one's personality is unique.

Go ahead and get your family another Boxer puppy. Check with a local or nearby Boxer rescue first and give a Boxer a home.
