4 month old boxer & 2 older dogs

Question
I have a 13 yr old mixed terrier (very timid) and a 6 yr old yorkie (queen of the house)both female. I now have a 4 month old male boxer who just wants to play with them but pounces on them.  The two older dogs want no part of him. When I correct the puppy from pouncing, he will just lay barking at them.  I have to keep them seperated to keep peace in the house and I know this is wrong.  I did bring them to neutral ground (park) to try to work things out but I got the same response.  I'm hoping you can help with a solution.

Answer
Hi. Well, your Boxer boy is a baby, he's probably hyper and rough. You may have to keep them seperated until he grows up some. The boxer is going to need plenty of exercise to wear him out. Give him plenty of safe toys to make him happy, and put baby gates up for now so he can see the other dogs and be use to them being in the house, but can't get to them. Boxers are rowdy anyway, and you have to give them time to mature and give them exercise. Work with the timid dog to try to build her confidence. You say the Yorkie is queen of the house, the Boxer will have to learn his place as well. The thing is, he's going to be so much larger than the other dogs that you'll have to get control of him. Try to find an obedience class in your area that works with puppies. This should help a lot as well. good luck.
