acting weird

hi our dog is 4 yrs old and has been acting kinda weird lately she has had this sqweeky bone all her life and untill our other dog started playing with it she has been carrying it around where ever she goes evan outside why is this? and she hasnt been goin to the bathroom regually either why is this? is it related?

Hi Scott,

The two things are probably not related, but it's not impossible.  Is your dog spayed?  If not, she may be going through a false pregnancy; the bone is her "baby".  If she is spayed, or if the behavior continues for more than a week or so, it's probably best to take her to the vet to be sure there's nothing else going on.  A thyroid problem, for example, can cause odd behavior.
