Question
hi,

I have a 2 year old white male Boxer, who truly is the apple of my eye. He is very well behaved and loves playing with other dogs. I have been given the opportunity to rescue a white female boxer (due to current owners illness). She is 9 months old. We are meeting up to see if they both accept each other. But would love some tips and your advise if you think we should give her a home with us. thanks

Answer
Hi Amy,

You should have no problems with the new addition. When you all meet everyone needs to be as calm as possible, the dogs should be on loose leads, allow the new girl to come in on the side of your male not facing him and let the dogs smell each other. Nature will take care of the rest and the two should begin the famous boxer wiggle butt. The dogs will pick up on the humans energy so its very important to be as calm as possible during the initial visit, no children present would be best as they can barely contain their excitement or other dogs . I commend you for adopting this boxer girl, good luck. Thanks so much for your question.
