Question
Have you ever used an outdoor chain link kennel?  My 3 bostons love being outside when the weather permits.  However recently it has become unsafe for them to be out in my yard even with me though it is fenced in.  We have had problems with stray dogs loose in the neighborhood.  Just recently we had a stray black lab kill my neighbors cocker spaniel while it was in its yard playing.  The same dog attacked another small dog as well and animal control has not been able to catch or trap the dangerous dog.  This is not the first time we have had large dogs loose in the neighborhood and end up in my yard.  So my husband and I have decided to have a chain link kennel installed in our back yard so that my 3 babies have a safe place to play.  I was thinking of maybe 100 square feet and 6 feet tall with a pitched roof and raised flooring along with their dog houses.  What do you think?

Answer
Hi Pam, Sorry you are having problems with strays.  Yes, the fencing sounds great but a big stray will try to DIG under the fence.
You need to consider the fencing or another product being placed down into the ground at least 8 inches.  That way you will not have anyone enter by digging in to the structure.

BEST wishes!
