Question
My boyfriend has a Boston terrier and it's about 9 years old. It's very hyper, does not listen, and is peeing on everything. I recently had a baby and the dog is so jealous, it peed all over all the baby's stuff. When we brought the baby home he started growling and jumping up at the baby and it scared me. My boyfriend spends a lot more time with the dog than our son, so i don't know why the dog would feel jealous. He even started growling at me and snapping at me. We can't even have company over. My sister and mother came to see the baby one day and i really thought he was going to bight them i had to hold him back and put him in the cage, but he barked and growled the whole time. My baby likes to be on the floor and play but he can't when were home because I'm afraid the dog will hut him. I need help!!!!! My boyfriend won't listen and just says that the dog won't hurt anyone, and he seeing what the dog is doing!!! Please offer me something!!!
And by the way a person i go to school with says she breeds and trains Boston terriers and she said the she has had a few turn on her when they got older. is that true?

Answer
Brittany, I fear for your baby's safety.  Please have your boyfriend consider the damage that one bite could do to the baby.  Sounds like the dog has some territorial issues.
Is there anyone that can take the dog and your boyfriend, too?
I don't mean to sound so harsh but this is serious.

Please get help for you and the baby or remove the dog.

I can't offer more than that!  YOU are right about the danger.
I had to put my 12 year old dog to sleep after biting my 5 month old son 2 times.  The dog did a number of growls prior to the bite.
My dog did not like my baby the day we walked thru the door.
PLEASE be careful
