Question
Why would a mother cat disown one of her kittens each time we went out to check on them this particular kitten would be left out in the cold.  We brought her in and kept her warm and give it some baby milk.

Usually, in these cases, there is probably something wrong with the kitten.  The mama usually knows this before we do.  Usually, but not always, these kittens are a lost cause, and will not live more than one week, if that long.
