My littel kitten is sick

glad to ask u about my kitten
i have a littel kitten 18 days old now but i noticed that it defecate as very yellowish fluid i don't know if it is normal
the mother always shower it and i'm so worry about the kitten
i didn't notice the same problem in the other kittens so i wish u reply telling me if this kind of defecation is normal
and i wanna tell u that this kitten is smaller than the others "its sisters" inspite of their same aga

Hi there,

This kind of stool isn't normal.  It generally indicates a bacterial infection in kittens this young.  If you have a veterinarian in your area, the kitten should be seen, because she will probably require antibiotics to recover.  If no treatment is given, it is likely the kitten will not survive, as she is already behind in size.  This is a sign that her body is very stressed and isn't receiving the nutrients it needs.  Also, if the kittens start defecating in a common place, many infections are contagious, and the others may become sick, as well.  So it would be best to treat it right away.
