To adopt 1 or 2

I am going to be adopting a kitten within the next couple weeks. I am wondering though if it would be better to get two or do cats really do okay by themselves? I didn't know since any kitten I would be getting will have been living with several other kittens (in the shelter usually able to freely interact) and I didn't know if just taking one from a group, if the kitten would adjust okay?

Hi Tina,

If you can, adopt two together. They will keep each other company while you are out. They won't get into as much mischief as one will. There are a lot of studies showing that two cats kept together do much better health wise also. Take two, you will be happy that you did. Good luck.
