Question
Dear Karen,

I have seen that my cat has been shedding excessively, i research & came with the conclusion that might be allergies of fleas or dust.  He as young cat he always escape to the street where he was expose to fleas that is why i might think he is allergic to fleas because once he came with a tremendous quantity of fleas but i took him a bath but he later started to have these symptoms Licking of feet, inflamed ears, itching and hair loss.  I don't know wat to do, wat remedies can i use  to stop these shedding? I don't have money to give him the best diet ever but once in a while he gets good food which includes vitamins & minerals. Please help me wat remedies can i use so he can get better without going to the vet. I am on a tight budget, I don't have a job.

Answer
Hi Miriam,

Diet won't do anything for him if he has a flea allergy. Wash him with Dawn liquid detergent first. Follow this link on how to do it safely. http://www.ehow.com/how_2112029_poisonfree-flea-removal-kittens-puppies.html?ref...

After he is done, get either Advantage for Cats or Revolution for Cats. Use this stuff to keep the fleas off him. These two things should do the trick. Good luck.

Ciao, Karen
