spayed cat?

My friend gave me a cat because her son was allergic.I was wondering how you could tell if she was fixed or not.The previous owmer didn't know.Please help!

well you will have to take her to the vet and have them look for a scar on her belly. however, if she hasnt , you will know very soon because she will come in to heat and bug the crap out of you wanting to go outside and get herself a boyfriend. she will stand at the door and "caterwall" ...that is a very strange sound they make, it calls the male cats.

now if you take her to the vet and they cant find a scar, that doesnt mean she hasnt been fixed, it just means they cant find the scar. then you just have to wait for her to come into heat.......if she doesnt....then she is fixed.
