Cat Cleaning Itself

My elder female cat seems to clean herself alot. What is normal?

Hi Carole,

It depends on what you mean by too much. If she is constantly doing it then there is a problem. Is she doing it all over or just in one area? Is she cleaning the fur off her body? Write back and let me know all you can about her and her behavior. Include her age and whether she is an indoor or not cat. And hopefully I'll be able to answer you better.
