Question
If she has already had 2 kittens over the last 12 hours and is up walking around and eating is her labor over. Is it normal to just have two kittens. Her last litter she had 5. thanks

Answer
Robin,

The fact that your queen is up walking around and has delivered two kittens in a twelve hour period doesn't necessarily mean her labor is finished. If you want to be absolutely certain that she hasn't got any stragglers that haven't been born vaginally (for whatever reason) you should have her examined by a veterinarian - if the vet thinks there might be kittens still inside of mom s/he may order an x-ray to confirm before recommending a caesarian or medication to strengthen contractions (most times a c-section is what happens in situations like this because there's generally a reason for kittens not being born naturally that means they aren't likely to come into this world naturally). The fact that this little girl had 5 babies last time makes me wonder if there are any other babies that haven't been born yet, just to be safe, the vet is the way to go. If you have any further questions, concerns or you'd like me to clarify anything in this answer I'd be happy to help you out to the best of my ability.
