Question
My cat has dander.  I brush her every day.  I also use these cleaning cloths that I bought from PetSmart that I use on her.  It does not get rid of the dander.  I am not allergic to cats so...I am not concerned about me.  PLEASE tell me how I can get rid of this on my cat.  PLEASE don't tell me to bath her.  She will never tollerate that and I will be stratch to death!! lol!  Thank you for your time in this matter.

Answer
Laurie,

Unfortunately, a bath would be in order, but I understand your reluctance!!!!!!!!!!

I expect your cat has dry skin.  So, in your normal feeding, you can add something like Halo's Dream Coat or Dermcaps liquid to the diet to get those essential oils back into your cats system.

Also, besides brushing, invest in a metal comb (available at virtually all pet stores# and comb through the coat, as well.  It helps stimulate the skin and is better at pulling out dry hairs.  If your brush is not a rubber brush, I would consider getting one of those as well as a rubber brush is excellent, especially in shedding season(s), for pulling out dry coat.

Unless she is a Persian, you do not need to brush every day. Using the comb every day and the rubber brush a couple times a week should certainly help.

Best regards... Norm
