Kitten coat

Question
I have a Maine Coon kitten who was dripping with coat at 8 weeks old.  Now that she is 14 weeks old her body has grown tremendously but her coat is short, especially on the tummy.  She does have very long guard hair on the top of her body but everywhere else it is short.  Does this mean she will never have a full coat?  I want to start showing her soon if her coat allows.

You cannot always tell adult oat from kitten coat, and this is a funny time of year as lots of cats are shedding (in the Northern hemisphere).   So, it is hard to know how her coat will turn out.  Most judges should take age into account when judging kittens.
