Daughter pregnant and Cat is pawing her tummy a lot

Hi!
I'm just wondering if my daughters cat knows she is pregnant.. and why is he pawing at her tummy ? She says he needs to quit but she can't get him to quit. She adopted him from a shelter at his age of 3 years...and he loves her SO MUCH..he crawls into bed with her and I wonder with the talk of toxo--whatever,if he could still carry a parasite that would hurt her unborn child?  thanks for the info..k

Hi Karen,

Don't know if the cats knows or not, but unless she scoops the litter box, (which she should not do), the cat can't give her anything dangerous.  It's ok if sleeps under the covers with her.  If I can be of further assistance, please write.  I always like to help.  Barb
