QuestionI have a 1 1/2 year old large yorkie (I think he is a mix) who has had diry smelly ears since I purchased him. The black stuff builds up frequently and has to be cleaned with q tips. What can I do to help him?
AnswerOften these discharges are the result of a yeast infection secondary to an allergy of some sort. YOu can wash the ears out daily with dilute vinegar (50:50 with water). However, I would recommend that you take the dog to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
