flaky skin

Question
I have a calico cat and I have found this discusting flakey stuff coming off of her skin. She is tan,white and black.I told you her colors because I also found birth mark-like black areas on her skin.I'm pretty sure that it hasn't always been there. I was wondering if these colors and flakes are normal?

Their skin is usually the same color as their "spots" or stripes on their hair coat.

The flakiness is not normal and is a result of dry skin from her not grooming, poor diet or deficiency of oils.  You can try adding fish oil to her diet or just change her diet to an all-natural diet such as Prairie www.naturesvariety.com which is what I feed all four of my cats and their haircoats are beautiful.  There are also sprays that you can apply to the skin for the dryness, of which, I prefer HUMILAC.
