Cat skin twitching

Question
Hi. I hope this is a dermatological question.
Ever since my cat was a few months old, SHE has had and has many skin "twitching" episodes. Hundreds daily. She does not seem to be in any pain and does not overly scratch herself (she did a lot of scratching early in life to the point of bleeding under her chin and around her ears) past the normal for cats with no fleas. She is around 4 years old and pretty healthy and happy.(I found her as an abandoned and tiny kitten and raised her with a bottle.) Her sister is fine. My vet can find no abnormal blood test results or physical abnormalities.
I hope you can help.
Thank-you for your time.
Mickey

Answer
Twitching usually indicates itchiness.  There are many things that can cause the skin to itch.  Ask your vet if your can can get the cat a shot of DepoMedrol to see if that stops the itching.  If it comes back after the shot wears off, then ask for a shot of Ivermectin to kill any parasites that might be in the skin.
