hamster swollen testicals

My sister's hamster has a swollen butt. I think it's the testicals that are swollen, but I don't know for sure. They are big and red, where a month ago they were normal, like nonexistant. Can you tell us what could be going on with him? is he too hot? what can we do?

Several things could be going on with your sister's hamster.  Wet tail, cancer, prolapsed rectum, etc.....  I wish I could tell you what is wrong with him but I can not do that without a proper history and physical examination.  

I recommend you find a local veterinarian who sees exotics and take him there.  Some of the things that could be happening to the hamster can be treatable.  I just recently removed a testicular tumor from a hamster and he is doing fine.
