lame canary

Question
I just brought home a Canary who cannot stand or walk from a friend of mine who owns a pet store. She is a small bird, I don't think she is very old. She has been in the pet store for about 2 weeks and now she is in my care. She eats, drinks, and poops normally but cannot stay upright. What could be the cause of this?

I am by no means any kind of expert with birds. If there is a problem with this bird I would take it back to your friend at the pet store and ask her what is going on.
If she is a baby, they do tend to sit more on their hocks than an adult bird, but as I said, I am not an expert so I would ask her at the pet store.
