Calcium Oxalate and Diet

Question
My cat (7 yr old female tabby) recently had surgery for bladder stones which turned out to be calcium oxalate. We had her on dry food as long as we have had her (6 yrs, feeding Nutro and Blue Buffalo) and switched her to Royal Canin Urinary SO because of the stone problem. I am not keen to keep her on this food - it is full of byproducts and there is no flavor variety. I am researching alternate foods (the vet is fine with this). From what I can find the more important thing is going to be the additional water she gets from canned food over dry. I'm considering a few different canned brands - Wellness, Merrick, Natural Balance, as well as looking into the freeze dried or frozen diets. So, I guess my question is - do you have any suggestions for organic, holistic, HEALTHY foods I could try? Oh, the calcium levels in her blood were not elevated, and she is an indoor cat.
There is also a wildcard in the stone question. We had an inground pool put in about 9 months ago; she goes in the screened area and has been known to take a drink of pool water. We aren't sure if the curing of the conrete and/or salt water of the pool could have contributed to the stone problem.
Thanks for your guidance!

Answer
Hello Kathleen-
I would go with the Wellness formula wet canned for cats... Excellent food for her!
As far as the pool, it very well could be a problem.  So many times our Environment is a problem.  So the answer is Yes, to the pool water.
