Can a cats ear break?

Question

Andrew's Bent Ear
My cat is a little over a year old, and has always had ears that stand straight up. Lately I have noticed that his right ear is slightly tipped over at the top. What may be causing this? Is it painful? Will it remain this way or will it eventually stick back up? Thanks for your help!!

Sometimes when one ear is crooked, there is a possibility that the ear may be infected.  Have your cat examined to determine if that ear is infected.  Do not attempt to treat the ear without the supervision of a veterinary medical professional.  Often people try to treat ear infections on their on and do considerable damage to the ear.
