I need help with my Yorkie

Question
QUESTION:
I have an (approx) 8 year old yorkie and her name is Annie. Just 3 days ago she hasn't been acting her usual self. Her normal behaviour is she's usually loud and barks at everyone. She's not vicious or anything, like she hasn't bitten anyone; she just barks alot. Also I'm 16 and i'm still in school, so Annie usually runs upstairs to the door and barks when my bus stops at my house. But 3 days ago she hasn't been like that. Now she is very quiet, she doesn't move alot (she sits in one place practically the whole day), and she's shaking alot aswell. Anotherthing is that most of the time when she lays down, 3 seconds later she'll stand back up but in a stance that makes her look like she's going to throw up, but she hasn't so far. Oh and another thing is that she's a bit on the chubby side i guess you could say. I dont know what else to say but we have another Yorkie, Lucky, (she's Annies mother by the way) and well my mom says it might be something that she ate but Lucky is fine. She's still the same. So right now I am really worried about Annie. So I hope that you can help me with my situation, I would really appreaciate it. If there's anything more you would like to know about her I'm willing to tell so I can help her. Thank you very much.

ANSWER: Hi Sarah, This is not good...Please call a vet ASAP for her.  I am wondering if she has thyroid troubles.  Please have the vet take some blood tests.
Good Luck.
Please don't wait any longer, go to the vet.

BEST of luck

QUESTION: Okay ummmm it's me Sarah again with Annie. Uhhhh she's kidna getting back to normal....-ish. My mom thought she might be constipation so my mom somehow gave her some laxative and she seems a little better. She is a little more active but she still seems really lazy. She wont really go out of the computer room so we have to take her to the "litter box" to do her thing and stuff. She also seems like she's losing her appitite aswell because she used to eat everything but now the only way she will eat is if we feed her really chopped up chicken on a plate with some hot water. She wont drink the actual drinking water we give her like just normal cold water. Another thing i've noticed is that she's shaking a lot more.....and when we call her name she'll take like 1 or 2 steps towards us then stop and start shaking and look around and put her head down like we yealled at her or something. Usually she'll come whenever her name is called and be all hyper and excited but...yeah, she's not like that anymore. It's almsot as if she's scared of us suddenly. like I'll walk beside her and she'll be all shaking and almost try to avoid me or something, i'm not sure how to explain it. And i'm sorry but i cant really take her to the vets. My mom is too tired to i guess u could say. But I'll keep asking her too take her. Thankyou. Oh and is there anything i can do at the moment to help her?

Answer
Yorkies are very sensitive little dogs - Tell mom she needs to have some basic blood work done.  I am not big on pushing a VET visit but I feel she needs to be seen. Please do your best to have your mom take her in.
I think she has thyroid troubles...
Sorry, not much you can do ....
