Urgently need to get a cat to vet

Question
I trapped her in a safe animal trap on Sat and then released her in my garage until vet was available today.  She has severe leg injury, may be ceptic by now, I have used fireman's gloves and blankets and she is just too feral or wild to catch again.  She can almost suspend herself from the ceiling to stay away from me.  If there a chloroform or something I can use for a short term drug affect just lone enough to get her in the cage, to take her to vet?

Answer
There is nothing you can safely use at this point. It would have been advisable to have left her in the cage and just fed and watered her in there.
But of course that's a moot point now.

Can you re-trap her with food? For one thing, to use ether or anything you would have to get close to her and you cannot, so there is nothing short of a dart gun with a tranquilizer in it that you can use.

Your best bet is to try and trap her again with some tuna in the cage. You could also try a catch pole that has a loop on the end of it. Animal control might be able to rent you one.  That is about all you can do at this point. I know you really want to help her and that is commendable but you risk major injury to yourself at this point trying to catch her.

So please be careful whatever you do.
