Question

Danny my 11 months Doberman/German shepherd mix dog died suddenly without showing symptoms of any diseases after eating his food he started to tremble (no foaming at the mouth) and died! He was much bigger than other dogs as his Age, he loves oranges very much and picked it himself from tree. He was a little hyper active. I'm really shocked and can't believe he is dead! do you have any idea why he died? being a mix and so big can be problem?

He looked like a gorgeous and loving dog. Know that he is now having a new and fun adventure. I do not know why he would drop dead suddenly. Like people, they can have heart problems that cause sudden death but I really could not say.

Being big does shorten life, but many big dogs, when treated holistically, can live to 14-18. Mixed dogs usually live longer than most purebreds, so that is not it.

Be grateful that he did have a quick death and not years of struggle with some problem.
