Female Dog Teats

I have just found a minature Dachund AA(sp?) and she has obviously just recently had puppies.  She has a vry serious ear infection and i have been giving her antibiotics left over from my female dog.  I bathed her and as I was drying her noticed that she has really arge hard lumps in her teat sacks.  Not at the nipple area but they are a little large from milk still.  Please tell me what this could be.

What does the AA stand for? It sounds like she has mastitis from not having the puppies nurse- in other words if she was lost and her puppies are not with her then her teats would engorge and she could get mastitis.

She needs to have some compresses put on them to keep them from abscessing. Really warm ones for 15 mins followed by cool ones for about ten mins then repeat. Do that for about an hour then once every hour for a while.

You need to post a found ad and call the vets all around there to find her owners. Her puppies are really missing her!
