How much Do I give?

Hi again. I was wondering how much cough medicine can I give my 1 month old min pin pup? They came down with the mother's Kennel cough. The vet said to give them some cough medicine along with the antibiotics proscribed. I forgot to ask how much . They are closed right now and was wondering if you could tell me? I have been using my finger in the little cup and placing whats on my finger on their tongue. It doesn't seem to be helping easy the pain at all. am I giving to less amount?

I imagine that little dog is really small, so try one quarter of a teaspoon, as long as it is only regular cough syrup. Do not use any with codeine in it.
Usually  they do not prescribe any thing like this to a puppy under six weeks. Since I am not a vet and cannot prescribe, you really need to call the vet's office and ask the technician there to ask the vet if that is a good starting dose and tell them how much she weighs.
