Question
I have a 21 year old indoor cat...and of course I feel that her end is near...although i am unsure. She is getting much thinner, and always used to love eating, although will hardly touch her food anymore....I feed her only wet moist cat food, as I feel her teeth or gums may not allow her to eat a kibble type food. Her twin sister died last year at age 20. She does not seem to be in any pasin...just lethargic, and eating very little. She still uses the litter box normally. I dont know if I should take her to the vet, or if she is suffering..or if I just wait until she passes here...any information you can  give me will help me know what's best for her. Thanks!

Answer
Hi - wow, 21!  Just keep feeding the soft food and add a little bit of water.. You can try some canned pure pumpkin, many cats like it - just a teaspoon or two per day..
I don't think she is in pain... only you will be able to tell.

Sorry, the weight loss may be her liver.  Just systems failure will be setting in.

Sorry that I can't offer any " magic " words.... Good Luck
