Storm Anxiety

Question
My dog has a severe storm anxiety.  Do you have any solutions???  If someone is home with her during a storm, she is fine.  However, she gets destructive when no one is around during storms.  Unfortunately, I don't have a flexible job.  Medication is not an option.  If I leave for work at 8:30 and the storm hits at 3 p.m., then I cannot rely on medication.  Anxiety wraps don't work because it is a separation anxiety issue during storms.  Doggie daycare is our only solution.  But it is costly with all the storms we've had.  Plus, the forecasters often don't get it right, and we have a surprise storm in the middle of the day when I can't leave work.  It's been a very stressful summer for all of us.

Answer
Wow, I understand your concern.  This is a hard one - The only thing I can think of is supplements to take the edge off of her stress and reactions. Here is what you can try - This would need to be given each day that you go to work.
Worth a try - Will cost much less than Doggie Daycare!

All the products I recommend to my clients are Great and Pure quality.
YOU have to be very careful what you purchase and the "quality" - or the supplements wont' work.  That is why my clients use Nature's Sunshine and NuVET Plus Products.

1.
Please give her 2 every day before you leave for work - hide in some cheese.
Excellent -    MELATONIN EXTRA 3MG (60)

NUTRI-CALM (100 TABLETS) ( 1 per day )

3.    SUPER OMEGA 3 EPA SOFTGEL CAPSULES
( Just one per day - every day, 7 days per week...

Again, this is all low cost and quality - Also, after a few weeks you should get a good blood level and see a change in her.

The Melatonin and Nutri Calm can be given 7 days per week or just on your work days... It is safe and good for her.

All the products are good for the "humans" in the family too.
Melatonin helps to relax the body before bed time. One 1/2 hr prior to bed is all you need.

Please let me know how you do -

I also love this vitamin supplement for daily use - NuVET Plus - it is not sold in stores - only thru the manufacturer...or thru a VET's office...
This is great for skin and coat and also helps prevent joint and hip problems...

Give me an update in a few weeks..
Good luck!
