Cat loves the litterbox

Hi,

I've noticed lately that my cat seems to spend a lot of time in the litterbox.  I'm not sure if she's actually using it because it seems like she goes in and out quickly.  I hear her doing a lot of scratching.  I'm wondering if she might be having trouble possibly with her bladder?

Not knowing how old your cat is I can't say for sure but female cats get cystitis and when they do they spend a lot of time in the litterbox because they feel the urge to go and a burning but there is nothing in her bladder.

She needs to see a vet right away so that this doesn't progress to a really bad bladder infection and cause problems in that way.
She will be put on antibitoics after the vet does a urine test on her to see what is going on with her bladder. He should recommend a change in diet also to prevent further attacks.
If not, ask him yourself.
Make an appointment for her next week, and hopefully tomorrow!
