Question
My new cat might have either calici virus or herpes. She
does not have any nasal discharge, sneezing or coughing but
she does have very runny eyes. It seems to be improving but
I wanted to know can my other cat get this? My other kitty
is a 2 yr old adult male who has been vaccinated (HCP 3yr,
Leuk, and Rabies) and is current.

Answer
Although this can be viral, it can also be chlamydia.  The other cats that are vaccinated should be OK, but cat vaccines do not provide 100% immunity against the herpesvirises.  Calicivirus will also cause gingivitis, so watch for that.  I would advise you to keep this cat isolated from the others for 2-3 weeks.
