dog died of seizures

Question
While on vacation in a remote region our dog began having seizures and died within 1 1/2 hours. She originally lost use of her back legs and then began having full-body seizures. In between the seizures she would still be stiff but the fear was removed from her eyes. She also ate between seizures. I thought giving her food might dilute whatever she may have ingested (if that was the problem). Otherwise, I just sat with her and tried to comfort her until she died. Do you think it was a toxin she ate or could it have been something neurological? Or? I would appreciate so much having an answer. She was a lovely and loving friend.

Answer
I have no idea what could have caused her death - toxins or neurological are certainly possible. Sometimes our animals just decide it is time to transition to their new adventure and often choose a beautiful place with their loving owners to transition. While I know it was traumatic for you to witness, her passing was relatively quick. She would not want you to grieve - be sad, miss her, but not grieve. Listen for her and she will still be with you.

Blessings.
