diabetes in cats

What would the symptoms be if a cat has diabetes. I have a 4 year old Female who all of a sudden is eating alot more and seems to be getting thinner. I do have her on low calorie hairball formula food.

Excessive thirst, excessive urination, increased appetite with weight loss and diabetes usually occurs in overweight pets.  These are also signs of over active thyroid.  I would recommend having some blood tests done.  Also, have a stool specimen checked to rule out intestinal parasites.
