My 2 year old boxer

Question
I have a two year old boxer who I got from a friend when he was abandoned by the neighbors. He has on a couple occasions thrown up white foam. I have tried changing his diet, keeping him brushed regularly (he sheds alot so I thought maybe it was hairballs) and even keeping in a separate room when I clean with cleaners. He shows no signs of being sick besides this. He is very energetic and is always active. I take him outside alot and he never shows an interest in wanting to eat grass so I'm not sure if it is an upset stomach. I'm wondering if it could be an allergy or something because it is very random. Any ideas before I take him to a vet?

Answer
Hi Laura - Many times when they do this it can mean a few things:
Here are my ideas:
yes, allergies could be a cause of this problem.  If that is the case you can change his food and make sure you put him on a low grain or grain free food.  Also, a new food with help with the dry coat and shedding.
Food suggestions:  Solid Gold, Eagle Pack, Natural Balance ( white fish and sweet potato), or Wellness Formula (fish and potato)

Next, could have yeast in his belly - see if you can find this in your local pet store:
*** Probiotic - Here is an example of one-  they come in powders or gels***

Also, NuVET Plus will help with the shedding, dry coat and belly digestion.  NuVET will also protect him so that he will avoid arthritis and joint problems...

All he needs is one per day of NuVET Plus wafer treats... ( vitamin that looks like a treat) ( cost about .50 cents per day)

I hope this had helped
