Question
I AM VERY INTERESTED IN AVOIDING YEARLY VACCINATIONS FOR MY DOGS AFTER DISCOVERING THE GREAT INFO I HAVE BEEN READING ON THIS SITE. HOWEVER, I DO BOARD MY DOGS ABOUT 4 TIMES A YEAR AND THE KENNEL REQUIRES SPECIFIC ONES. ANYWAY AROUND THAT?
THANK YOU-K.

There are homeopathic nosodes for all of the vaccines. If you can find a truly holistic vet in your area, one who will run a Titer test for you for the required vaccines, he can sign off on the shots. You can then go on the nosodes to keep the immunity high. If you can't find them in your immediate area, contact Dr Gerald Wessner at 352-245-2025.

I would also suggest educating the kennel owner about the dangers of vaccines and the fact that even the vet schools teach that annual ones are unnecessary in the greater majority of cases. If your kennel refuses to be educated or allow a Titer substitute, find a different kennel that is truly concerned about the health of your dogs or perhaps you should look into an in home pet sitter. With multiple dogs, this can actually be a financial savings as well.

The main vaccine that the kennels are concerned with is the Bordetella or Kennel Cough vaccine. It is the shot frequently responsible for vaccine site related tumors and is a very ineffective and short lived vaccine.  The inoculation given through the nose is more effective and less dangerous, but its effects are also very short lived. Nosodes are actually more effective than either.

I hope this helps you out. If you could take a moment and give me a feed back rating I would appreciate it. Thank you, and have a very merry Christmas. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
