tracheal collapse of toy poodle;

Question
I have an 8 year old tiny toy poodle.  She honks and gasps for air when she gets exited only.  Even an exam for this is invasive but I am concerned  about this condition getting worse as she ages.  Is there any way to supplement her  naturally to build up the delicate tissues in her trachea?  It's not awful now but I'm really frightened for her future!

Hi Randee,  This is a very common problem with many of the smaller breed dogs.  
I am glad that you did see the vet for an exam.
Here are some suggestions:

1.  Raised feeding for water and food;
Buy a raised feeding stand from your local pet store.  This will help to keep her from choking in the future.  ( or backwards sneezes)
