corals and rock

Todd,
i just set up my new 90 gallon saltwater tank.  I have bout 50 lbs of live rock with what looks like corals on them...I bought a new light: how do i new what time of the day to yuse the varius types of lightinh (atinic vs 12k)?  Should i feed the rock?  What should i feed it?

I would use both lights at once.  If you lighting system came with a blue led moonlight that is what you can use at night.  The 12 k will similate daylight conditions.  Your Actinic will enhance the color of live rock and coral. All of my literature suggests that these combo's are ideal for your coral and live rock.  You should keep these on for 12 hours a day. You do not need to feed the live rock but should feed the corals on it.  I love coral boost by Weiss products.  Also sand boost by Weiss is great for live rock this product makes live rock more efficient at breaking down waste.
