high elevation-cold water plecs

Question
There seems to be an endless variety of plecs- from three foot long down to 2" full grown and every color and pattern imaginable and then some. But I have yet to find an online photo directory of them and I am interested in high elevation(Andes- they say up to 10,000 feet elevations) COLD WATER types for cold water tanks- say 60-70*F.  Can you point me to where such info could be found? Thank you for your time....James

Answer
Hello,

Unfortunately I do not usually work with this kind of fish and do not know a site to refer you to because I haven't searched for one. However, I don't believe an internet site is the best way to find a fish you are looking for. I recommend visiting local fish stores, especially ones specializing in only fish and not all pets, and see what they have. If they do not have the fish you are looking for, check or call elsewhere and see their stock. That way you don't find a fish on the internet and discover that it can't be found at any pet store you know.

I hope this suggestion helps at least a little bit, sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. Good-luck.
