Question
hi my platies have one at a time gone thin and lethargic with their tail not being fanned anymore. the fish just lies on bottom and only really moves when nudged by other fish. it is a 60litre tank which is about 4months mature and water is all good amonia etc.thanks rickie.

Answer
Hi Rickie!

Well you should separate the injured/infected fish so the others can't catch the infection/bother/nip its fins. This is very common especially if you have aggressive/semi-aggressive fish in your tank. Separate it to another tank (with filter/heater/gravel/plant(s)[fake or real works]) and try to let it heal. Feed it daily if it can swim up and eat the food. if not, just wait for the food to sink down. He/She will eat it eventually. Try the API Stress Coat and Stress Zyme! :D It can lower stress levels by 40% (Scientifically proven) and makes your tank cleaner and lowers pH if they're to high.

You can purchase these items @ your local petshop (Petsmart).
Hope this helps and pls give me a good rating! xD
