Question
First things first hello my name is Matt and how are you doing. Umm my i have two questions, i would like to know if you can have Angel fish and Bala Sharks in the same aquarium? and How to tell the difference between the males and the femals in the BalaSharks? Thanks alot and have a great day!

Answer
Hi Matt, I'm doing great and thank you for asking! ;-) I hope you are doing well...

Angelfish and Bala sharks -could- go together but its best to raise them together and you must make sure that both fish are getting their fair share of food at feeding times. Bala sharks do swim faster than Angels of course so you'll have to make sure the angels are getting their share. Bala Sharks do grow quite large, up to 12 inches and they are more comfortable in groups... So you'll need a big tank. Ideally a 75-gallon or larger. You can start them in a 55-gallon and upgrade later. But its always best to start with a large enough tank to begin with. ;-)

As for telling the difference between males and females, Males are considered to be more slender while females may be deeper bodied.

Best wishes and I hope this helps!
Karen~
