silver dollar coloring

Question
We have had ourr tank & fish for 3 days.
They are purchased from private party.
we are just now noticing the red around the outside of their fins & gills & getting darker & larger. & on more of them. (there are 5 total)
I know male have some red...but it didn't seem to be there before. We just noticed it starting yesterday.

hi, well i researched your question for a while, and my conclusion is that they are just getting comfortable to the tank, but it is possible that they may be sick. the best thing that you could do would be to check the ph, and check the ammonia , and f he levels are bad, then this needs to be fixxed. also, it is possible that your private source isnt a good source and sold you bad fish
