is my fish poorly

hello i have recently purchased 2 severums until 2 days ago they were both lively  however one is constantly near the filter pipe and although he moves to feed he soon goes back there and the very edges of his fins are very slightl frayed looking, im sure he is not being bullied and the water has recently been tested and was fine there are no other symptoms unless he is just unsociable! thank you for any answers

Hi Gill,
The frayed fins are a cause for concern. Might be either he is being picked on by other fish or they are just damaged from netting or he is sick with a bacterial infection known as fin-rot.

The best thing you can do is give him more time and allow for the fact that he is new and needs time to adjust to the tank.
