I have an oranda, I have had her for about 2 yr's, but lately she can't stay up right, she keep's turning up side down. It seem's like her hrad is to big. I think I'am going to lose her. If you have an answer please let me know. Thank's please ASAP

Hi Sharon,

Swimming troubles such as turning upside down, difficulty going to the bottom of the aquarium, etc are associated with swim bladder disease. This is probably the most likely cause of your Goldfish's problems. This is also a hard disease to treat. Here's what you can do:

-Change 10% of the water daily, until the problem resolves
-Feed you Goldfish a Defrosted or fresh PEA
(I'm not joking, peas work miracles for fish, especially Goldfish)

If the problem doesn't get better, then you will have to buy an anti-bacterial medication at your local fish store. Follow the directions carefully, and remove any carbon from the filter.

If you are going to use a medication, change 40% of the water first.
